My inspiration came from another mom's recent discussions with her birthing hospital staff and doctors and whoever just posted as to why women do not contact their doctors to tell them of their disappointment.
Dr. X, Dr. Y:
I gave birth to [my two beautiful babies] via elective scheduled cesareans in 1994 and 1995 due solely to their ten and eleven pound sizes. I have come to view these choices as mistakes of an uninformed mother.
Last month I vaginally birthed their beautiful sister Susan! She was nine pounds, six ounces. This natural birth was the most amazing and wonderful experience of my life!!!
It is too bad that for the rest of my life I will be dealing with the
issue of forgiving myself for my first two unnecessary cesarean surgery
decisions.
