Your opinion that homebirth is unsafe. You're certainly entitled to your own opinion, but unless it's backed up by some facts or statistics, you don't have much to add to the discussion. If you're simply dumbfounded that the hospital environment could change birth from a normal physiological event into a dangerous medical crisis, I strongly encourage you to do yourself and all of us a favor and spend a little time educating yourself. The section on Homebirth Safety/Advocacy is a good place to start.
