If you're looking for a homebirth midwife in San Mateo, Santa Clara or Alameda Counties, I'm happy to send you detailed information about my services.  Please let me know your due date, where you live, whether this is a first or subsequent baby, and what kind of insurance you have, so I can send you the relevant financial information.  My e-mail username is ronnie, and my domain is gentlebirth.org.  Of course, you need to put an @ sign between those two to make it work.  I'm making this somewhat cryptic because I've discovered that having my e-mail address on the web has made me the target for hundreds of spam messages a day.  So, I also have multiple layers of spam filtering built into my e-mail system.

If you have a legitimate reason to contact me and need to make sure your e-mail gets through my spam filters, just make sure that you put at least one of my keywords in the e-mail header.  My keywords are related to the legitimate reasons why you might want to contact me - because I'm a midwife and doula, attending homebirth and hospital birth.  If I don't respond to your e-mail within a day, please do leave a phone message at 650-961-9728 so I can look through my spam filtered messages to find yours.

Getting Answers to Your Personal Health Questions

I always encourage people to get answers about their personal health questions from their personal healthcare providers.  The information contained in these web pages is general information and cannot possibly be tailored to your personal health situation.  Only someone who knows your full medical history can make critical recommendations about your health.

However, if you are looking for general information and are having trouble finding it, you can:

  1. Search for Local Resources
  2. Search the Midwife Archives hierarchically, read some of my other writing, or look for an article that I have formatted for another author
  3. Do a text search for this web site
  4. Search other online health resources
  5. Hire me to do a personal information search for you - I am available for hire as your personal research assistant.  My fee is $1/minute.  In order to initiate a personal health information search, first prepay through PayPal for as many minutes as you'd like me to spend on your case.  (My PayPal e-mail address is the same as my regular e-mail address.)  Then send me e-mail describing your information needs and letting me know how many minutes you've hired me for.  Obviously, I cannot provide personal health care over the internet and in states where I'm not licensed; all I can do is to collect information that is already on the internet or in my midwifery library.  I regret that I do not have time to respond to the many requests for free assistance that I receive each week.
